I'll say the 1968 model year, since my memory says that Avanti Motors used Datsun 510 front side markers, and the 510 didn't come out until the '68 model year.

And you are CORRECT!......if I remember correctly, those Datsun side marker lamps could not be interchanged left-to-right.
