There was at least one R2 Studebaker Avanti built with painted (un-chromed) engine parts.......True?

I've seen photos of an early prototype with painted engine parts but I don't remember if it was an R1or R2.  Just for grins I'll say true as it would make sense to proof fit parts without spending unnecessary funds on chrome items before the designs are finalized.

And true is CORRECT!....I was thinking of that prototype.
