mfg
Two 1963 Avantis were flown around the country during Studebaker's 'Operation Airlift' promotion. The WHITE one is thought to be...........1) 63R1001....2) 63R1002....3) 63R1003...or...4) 63R1006?

lschuc
The white Avanti on the airplane was most likely 63R-1002. During it's restoration and later its debut at the Amelia Island concours 3 years ago, one of the tiny Avanti flags was found inside the back seat arm rest, under the ash tray. lschuc
Except those old Starlite Coupe rear arm rests could hold a cold six pack of your favorite beverage!
