r1lark
I remember Steve Blake talking abut the chrome plating in the Avanti article in Vol 1 No. 1 of Collectible Automobile magazine. Seems like he said that the suppliers that he 'inherited' from the Altmans were producing poor chrome work. I'm going to "assume" that Blake pushed suppliers for better chrome plating. So I'll say False - sounds like the Altmans chrome plating was sub-par, but hopefully Blake improved the chrome plating that was done on his watch. mfg
Can't argue with that, however I've seen a few Blake Avantis (including my own car), with prematurely failing chrome....I can see why he went to the composite bumpers!!.. In my opinion, the answer here is TRUE!
