schuyler Posted January 21, 2017 Report Posted January 21, 2017 F.Y.I. In the current issue of HEMMING MOTOR NEWS there is a article ( page 26 ) about the current value trend of the 1963-64 Studebaker Avanti. Looks promising for present and future pricing!
Gunslinger Posted January 21, 2017 Report Posted January 21, 2017 I hope that proves true...but I've seen such prognostications before. The generation that values Avantis is steadily reaching retirement age and beyond. Younger generations seem to prefer resto-mods and hopped up rice burners rather than cars with any real legacy and history.
mfg Posted January 21, 2017 Report Posted January 21, 2017 Fact is, the original Studebaker Avanti truly was designed 'light years' ahead of other period American vehicles!.......That, the exotic 'R' engines', and all the talk about speed records will ALWAYS make them wanted by upcoming generations of car collectors. Unfortunately, that really can't be said about the rest of the Studebaker line.....which is sad.
abasile Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 The used of photo of my 1964 as the poster child -- R5432...
