mfg
ANSWER...An access hole can be cut into the fiberglass 'roof' of the glovebox compartment which REALLY CAN HELP!! After the repair, the hole can be covered with a removable plate. One has to stand on his head to see it!!
silverstude
Cut a what? why not just reach up under the dash. The Pside pivot is pretty accessible. It's the driver side that's bear to get to..

silverstude
I used to remove the dash endplate(s) and cut out what was hidden under it, leaving enough purchase for the fastening screws. I know it was a great help on the driver side regarding the gauges. I can't recall if the Pside was of any help...
