mfg Posted December 7, 2016 Report Share Posted December 7, 2016 (edited) In a letter he wrote in 1967, Raymond Loewy expressed a concern he had over the Studebaker Avanti .....Loewy's concern was......... 1) He was disappointed the Avanti had to be a four passenger car, as opposed to a Corvette-like two passenger job? 2) Unhappy Studebaker didn't fully pay him for the design job? 3) Was concerned that no one would remember the car? (o[]o) Yes, Loewy would have liked a two seater....but the reality was Studebaker needed a four-place to make the new car a viable proposition.
