Gunslinger Posted January 3, 2016 Report Share Posted January 3, 2016 Does static get worse as rpm's increase or stay steady? If if it does it's ignition noise...if it stays steady it's alternator noise. When it was tuned up, was the distributor shroud properly reinstalled and grounded? If the plug wires were replaced, were they replaced with the proper suppressor cables? Were the spark plugs replaced with the proper resistor plugs? While coincidences happen, it does seem likely that something wasn't done properly with the tuneup to cause the problem. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
