Just pulled front windshield and there was no type of sealer or bedding compound. Window fell right out. Should there be something in there.

Also noticed what looks like a drain hole in bottom of post. Should that be open.

Post seem to be in good condition, slight surface rust, mostly glue residue.

Its a double lip type seal like a VW bug windsheild it shouldnt need bedding or sealer if installed correctly.

Looks to be in good shape…And I agree with Guy on the sealer.

The shop manual clearly states to use Sealer and bedding on the windshield and butyl tape and Sealer on the rear window.

The shop manual is USUALLY correct!

That's what i read in manual, but there definitely was non there. That's scary, a glass suction cup would pull the window out. It came out like nothing.

Not without first removing the left & right stainless ‘A Pillar’ trim!… However, there is nothing wrong with using a bead of sealer… just don’t overdue it.

You are lucky it came out easy, mine had to be cut with a utility knife along glass edge to get the rubber out of the way to remove glass and there was not any sealant, or butyl tape, the old seal was rock hard and cracked in the corners.

Yes, Avanti windshields and backlights are easy to remove when you intend to replace the weatherstrips with new!

Oh yes, the pillar trim. I forgot about that. I had removed them weeks ago. Also, I removed all the stainless trim on windows, which probably made it much easier. Should have looked at the manual before I did it. My rubber is all VERY pliable. Will reuse.

I would be afraid the rear window would blow out on the highway if it didn't have that one screw in the top.

My lower window frame corners are open, which I would think would funnel water into the body.
