1963 R4959, question on VIN

Yikes, looking to buy an Avanti listed as R4959.   Per Johnstone's this car was lost in hurricane Sandy.   Anybody know anthing about that car?   The one I'm looking at is White with red interior.   Pics only, haven't seen it in person yet.   Any advice sure appreciated.  Jim

Silverstude:  requested pics from owner.   We provide when I get them. So far stated as R4959, RQ4370  (body) R3873.    All confusing to me.

Could be...  1964 Avanti R-4994 ..  has a body tag #3849.       The RQ4370  you refer to is the generic code for 64 Avanti trim on the build sheet.  All 64 Avantis have that notation.

Where is this car located?
