SCPO-PD
I am awaiting completion & return of my seats from the upholstery shop and seat belts from the vendor..... I am thinking about dying the carpet. Any thoughts / ideas?? I do have the original blue "House Shag". Edited March 11 by SCPO-PD
Geoff
If you really don't care about what you have currently, I suppose there's bleach. But that would then require a very good dousing, scrubbing, and rinsing to remove all of the bleach before undertaking a new dye job. Alternatively, sell what you have to somebody who wants that carpet and put those proceeds toward buying carpet which is already the color you desire. Dwight FitzSimons
I have successfully dyed carpet in the past (long past). You might try your local auto paint supply stores. A lot of them carry SEM vinyl dye. That is a good product for vinyl. What I don't know is whether it is appropriate for carpet or not. If the vinyl dye cannot be used on carpets perhaps the store will have a fabric dye for carpets. --Dwight
