HOW to open gas cover on 1990 4 door

Very Technical question, how do you open the gas cover on a 1990 4 door?  I know it electric but cannot find the button or what ever it is to open it..  Appreciate any help.

This is from the SDC Forum.

On the 1990 sedans the ignition needs to be ON to make the switch in the centre console work.

On my 91 I have 2 buttons inside the console. One for the gas door, one for the trunk release.

Another question would be; how to open if the button does not work? Also, were can I find the part that opens the trunk? Mine has wire to the trunk latch but no opener. Good thing they also have a key, or, I wouldnot have ever opened the trunk.
