Avanti Lobes

Studebaker V8 camshafts have ----- lobes.

1) 16.....2) 17....or...3) 18

Avanti and Jet Thrust engines have 16 lobes.  Other Studebaker V-8 engines have 17– one for the fuel pump on early V-8 engines. If you count the lobe that is bolted to the front of the cam it would be 17 and 18 on engines 1955 and after.

Great reply!....(and not counting that front fuel pump eccentric)
