I have the wiring diagrams (such as they are) for my 1980 and want to reinstall my antenna switch after finding a functional mismatch between the antenna wire on my new headset and the antenna.

The problem is that the pin-out on the switch is 3 x 3, and the diagram makes no distinction to how the wires are oriented, so there are four possible combinations. I'ce already blown two fuses trying to figure it out and am down to my last one.

Pin numbers on the switch are faint, but legible. Can anyone help me figure out which wore fits where?

Thanks!

That second diagram is what I needed. I had the first. I'll still need to use a VOM to figure out which tab is which, but with that, I can do it.

Thank you!

Yeah, OK, I thought I was smart enough to figure it out with the above diagrams and a VOM, but I'm not.

can anyone take a picture please or maybe make  a crayon drawing?

Thanks

I have an '82 that suffered from a stereo system upgrade. They cut all of the wires to the switch and powered the amp through a single toggle switch in the same spot. I found an antenna switch from an '81 parts car, so I have the switch but don't know what each wire does. The colored wires I found under the dash don't seem to match the colors here. Does the power to the radio go through the switch? I have a yellow wire that looks like it clipped into a fuse in the panel. It splits and looks like it could go to the radio. I attached an image of the switch I salvaged. Is this even the right switch? Does anyone have a diagram that explains the antenna/radio system? I cannot download Ronmanfredi's files. Any help will be appreciated.

Mine is similar, however there was no indication of which wire went to each terminal ( they are unnumbered in both the diagram and on the switch) and I never got it to work again. I ended up using three of the wires on a toggle switch, and it functioned fine. I never did understand what the other wires were for.
