ronmanfredi
It's time to replace the oil pan gasket and 2 piece rear main seal in my 82 with a 305V8. Has anyone successfully done this without removing the engine? There is very little clearance between the pan and steering bell crank on the cross member, so I'm not sure if removing the motor mount bolts and jacking the engine up will provide me enough room to get the pan off. ronmanfredi
Just an update, the bell crank has to be removed and the steering arm pushed to the side to remove the oil pan on a 305 (1982 model). Did the rear main seal, timing chain and front seal while there. No more leaks!
