tanda62 Posted June 3, 2023 Report Posted June 3, 2023 Using a wire brush to clean the road dirt, oil and a layer of black paint from underneath the body. I do plan to paint the underneath black and wonder if that was something the factory did? oh and in case you are wondering, yes I am a masochist for doing this job. 😝
Stacey Posted June 3, 2023 Report Posted June 3, 2023 When I had the strip shop we used low pressure blasting with acrylic plastic pieces to clean the bottoms of fiberglass cars to a totally clean, smooth finish so the folks repainting had a nice surface to paint. Doing it your way is very time consuming, but satisfying to see what is under all that goop.
tanda62 Posted June 25, 2023 Author Report Posted June 25, 2023 Got the engine bay and underneath primed and painted black. Also put undercoating in the wheel wells. Quite the icky job...
