I'm wondering if your Avanti's serial plate may read 'R4330' instead of '63R4330'? I thought the '63' was dropped around serial # 63R3000.
64studeavanti
There was a post on this forum indicating that R4330 was originally equipped with 3spd trans. Also, Bob Johnstone's web site indicates previous owners. ,Sam Nardo Erie PA. And before that from Port Angeles WA. Engine #R2914 and body #RQ3368. 64studeavanti
If you get the production order from the Studebaker museum, that may provide original owner - at least the destination. Additionally, Dan Booth at Nostalgic may have the "born" documents for that serial number.
