1972avantiisme
I visited the forum a couple of weeks ago and the was a discussion about voltage regulators and alternators. Besides my 1972 Avanti I have several Corvettes and the similarity under the hood is quite remarkable. Any way the Alternator is the exact same as a 1968 Corvette and the Voltage regulator is the same also. I just replaced both on my Avanti and they work perfectly. No conversion or modification needed. {probably other interchangeable parts I'll let you know when I run across them.
WayneC
Avanti Motors bought base (lowest horsepower) Corvette engines from Chevrolet in a lot purchase, so no wonder that your Avanti engine is similar to your Corvette engines.
silverstude
Did you actually go back to a separate voltage regulator?
