mfg Posted October 30, 2021 Report Share Posted October 30, 2021 On Studebaker Avantis & early Avanti ll's, if there is insufficient clearance between engine front pulley and steering power cylinder end (on bellcrank) a 'quick' way to improve this clearance is to ..................? Right!....install shim washers between center bearing housing and bottom of crossmember to, in effect, lower the center bearing housing and bellcrank along with it.
