mfg
'Back in the day', what was a very common reason for failure of the trunk release cable in a Studebaker Avanti?
brad
Rust. the cable locks up. Then the handle pulls off. Sometimes the swedged "hook" that pulls on the latch pulls off the cable. If you have the striker adjusted too low, the pressure required to pull the handle increases.
