psdenno
Deluxe is perforated, Regal is pleated. Correct. Ever wonder why Studebaker chose the word "Regal" to describe pleated vinyl? I usually don't associate vinyl with anything regal.
Gunslinger
Why did Studebaker use the term "Jet Thrust" for their R-engines? Why did Chevrolet call their V-8 engines "Turbo-Fire" and "Turbo-Jet"? There's also "Firebolt", "Red Ram" and any number of other names used by car makers that have nothing sensible to them regarding cars. Pontiac used to call their vinyl "Morrokide"...like there was something special about it. It was just a way of promoting it as something better than ordinary vinyl. Full disclosure...I had a '64 Pontiac Bonneville with the Morrokide interior...it was excellent quality.
