mfg Posted February 5, 2015 Author Report Share Posted February 5, 2015 Actually, the answer here is TRUE!....At about the halfway point of pad wear, the pads start to tilt in as rectangular pads always will...it's best to replace them at that point for best brake performance. This is exactly the reason brake manufacturers went to 'kidney shaped' pads, that will wear evenly all the way down! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Charlie Kile Posted February 5, 2015 Report Share Posted February 5, 2015 When the pads on my E-Type wear too far the metal plate that is used to remove them comes loose. At that point the only way to remove them is to disassemble the caliper assembly !
