mfg
On an Avanti with 'blade' (metal) bumpers, if the front center bar shows rust on top, but the chrome plate is nice on the bottom, an old Avanti 'trick' is to dis-assemble the front bumper assembly and turn the center bar upside-down......True? Gunslinger
False...besides the chrome on the bottom was often of less quality, the edge contour is slightly different on the center. I'm not saying someone couldn't try that, but they'd be unhappy with the result.

There's quite a 'divit' at bottom center of the bumper center bar that would look horrible turned up!
