First I've heard that there was a 1985 convertible. Had to be a prototype. What chassis?

There were two convertible prototypes on the Studebaker chassis. They were done by two different custom shops and commissioned by Steve Blake. They were converted from '70 and '82 Avanti coupes, though the exact years may not be accurate and open to dispute. I'm using information from John Hull's book.
