mfg
Escaping the government regulations as a low volume specialty car maker, Avanti Motors did not install door 'side crash beams' inside the doors of the '90 four door Avanti 'Touring Sedan'......True? Gunslinger
I doubt it. While Avanti Motors did get an extension on some mandatory safety items in the late '60s, by the mid-'70s all those exemptions had expired and the company had to be in compliance. I can see that the use of Kevlar body panels may have allowed for an exemption of the crash beams but that's just supposition.
