mfg
The gear ratio set used in the Studebaker Avanti (and early Avanti ll) T-10 four speed transmission was known as the 'close ratio' set.....True?
Gunslinger
I will hazard a guess that's false. Several reviews from back in the day criticized the spread of gears used by Studebaker. One reviewer wondered whether GM had an exclusive on the close ratio gearing for the Corvette. So, I'll say Studebaker used a wide-ratio T-10.
