The Altmans dropped the T-10 four-speed transmission option for Avanti ll's after the -----?---- model year...............1) 1971,......2) 1973,.......3) 1974,....... or...4) 1976

I would say 1976. When I visited the factory in 1975 they had a 4 speed Avanti II on display

Good guess!,....but 1976 was not the model year.

1974, mine was next to last.

Correct! 1974 was the last year (Is you Avanti # RQB-2136?).......(or possibly RQB-2127?)

RQB-2123. was there more I hadn't noted between mine and the last? My data said 2127 was the last.

Possibly!,....The problem is, these cars didn't come off the 'assembly line' in sequential order. But anyway, RQB-2136 rolled on 11/21/74, a definite four speed car, I don't know final assy date of RQB-2127, but it was also definitely built with the four speed trans.
