mfg Posted January 1, 2015 Report Posted January 1, 2015 The Altmans dropped the T-10 four-speed transmission option for Avanti ll's after the -----?---- model year...............1) 1971,......2) 1973,.......3) 1974,....... or...4) 1976
GAWen Posted January 1, 2015 Report Posted January 1, 2015 I would say 1976. When I visited the factory in 1975 they had a 4 speed Avanti II on display
mfg Posted January 1, 2015 Author Report Posted January 1, 2015 I would say 1976. When I visited the factory in 1975 they had a 4 speed Avanti II on display Good guess!,....but 1976 was not the model year.
mfg Posted January 1, 2015 Author Report Posted January 1, 2015 (edited) 1974, mine was next to last. Correct! 1974 was the last year (Is you Avanti # RQB-2136?).......(or possibly RQB-2127?) Edited January 1, 2015 by mfg
Avanti83 Posted January 1, 2015 Report Posted January 1, 2015 (edited) RQB-2123. was there more I hadn't noted between mine and the last? My data said 2127 was the last. Edited January 1, 2015 by Avanti83
mfg Posted January 1, 2015 Author Report Posted January 1, 2015 RQB-2123. was there more I hadn't noted between mine and the last? Possibly!,....The problem is, these cars didn't come off the 'assembly line' in sequential order. But anyway, RQB-2136 rolled on 11/21/74, a definite four speed car, I don't know final assy date of RQB-2127, but it was also definitely built with the four speed trans.
