Gunslinger Posted December 27, 2014 Report Posted December 27, 2014 Rodger Ward. He won the '62 Indy 500 and was awarded the first Avanti. It was supposed to be an R2 but he opted for an R1 with a/c. I guess he felt enough heat on the track and wanted more comfort on the streets.
