mfg Posted December 8, 2014 Report Posted December 8, 2014 One unique feature of the Studebaker Avanti four-door prototype, crafted in Italy, is that it was constructed of steel.....True?
plwindish Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 False, I thought France was the location.
8E45E Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 (edited) Nor is it really four doors; there are three; two on the driver's side, and one on the passenger's side. The two were built by Pichon-Parat near Paris, France out of steel, and were referred as 'Avanti II' in-house in 1962-3 (before we actually had the Newman & Altman Avanti II's) Craig Edited December 9, 2014 by 8E45E

r5duecento Posted January 16, 2015 Report Posted January 16, 2015 Also, these care were NOT Avantis. They were a study to consider the infulence of the Avanti design on the other models.
