The Avanti R2 engine used in the 'Studebaker SS' (later known as the Excalibur SS) was moved rearward in the Super Lark Daytona frame ......?...... inches.

1) 12.......2) 22.......3) 28.....or 4) 31

One source quoted Brooks Stevens saying they moved the engine back "........by about 29 inches..........".  So, the closest to that is #3, 28 inches.  (Of course, if you don't agree with that, my next response will be #4, 31 inches.  )

My info states "28 inches"...so you are CORRECT!
