Raymond Loewy was never happy about the fact that the Studebaker Avanti had no external trunk release.....True?

I don't know about RL, but I think a number of owners were unhappy about that when the cable broke...especially with a trunk full of stuff blocking access to the lock mechanism.

I agree! With some of his flair vs function I'm greatfull we actually have door handles on BOTH doors ☺

Your absolutely right...He didn't care for external brightwork...and was a proponent of an inside the car trunk release.
