mfg Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 When a rebuilder 'shims the impeller back against the plate' while working on a Paxton supercharger, what he's doing is adjusting the position of the impeller on its shaft for supercharger longevity....True?
brad Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 No, the boost is dependent on the impeller to scroll cover clearence. But you're right, if the impeller drags on the cover it won't last long!

You make a good point about getting it too close to the rear plate!
