There are fourteen 'race load springs' in the 'SN' style Paxton Supercharger, as used by Studebaker....True?

No, they didn't use all the available spring pockets. There were "blank" spaces, much like on some GM automatic transmission clutch packs

Beg to differ!....All spring pockets were used at the factory in Paxton superchargers. If you find one with less than fourteen springs, it means that someone has been 'in there' before you, and unloaded the pressure plate in the mistaken belief that less pressure on the planetary drive will increase its life expectancy. Answer.....TRUE!
