mfg Posted July 23, 2014 Report Posted July 23, 2014 There are fourteen 'race load springs' in the 'SN' style Paxton Supercharger, as used by Studebaker....True?
brad Posted July 25, 2014 Report Posted July 25, 2014 No, they didn't use all the available spring pockets. There were "blank" spaces, much like on some GM automatic transmission clutch packs

If you find one with less than fourteen springs, it means that someone has been 'in there' before you, and unloaded the pressure plate in the mistaken belief that less pressure on the planetary drive will increase its life expectancy. Answer.....TRUE!
