Flat out, and all else being equal, a 1963 Lark equipped with the R2 engine is approx. eight miles per hour faster than a 1963 GT Hawk with the same engine.....True?

False they were faster, mainly due to areodynamics

False is correct! Stude said the Hawk was approx 8 mph faster than a comparable Lark.
