But it's sort of a trick question (apoligies) Factory service replacement blocks more often than not didn't come with an oil filter of any type. A block off plate covered the oil filter adapter mounting area and the engine would (will) run just fine that way. Or, the plate could be removed and replaced with the adapter, and a spin on filter could be installed. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
