jaswalters Posted February 6, 2012 Report Share Posted February 6, 2012 i have attached a photo of my tachometer. i am trying to confirm that it is not original equipment. i have researched the issue and confirmed that the sending unit is not present, and it looks like there may have been a replacement of the tach. if anyone can lend some assistance, i would appreciate it. Gunslinger Posted February 6, 2012 Report Share Posted February 6, 2012 It's been some time since I've seen the back of an original Avanti tach but that doesn't match my memory. I don't believe original tachs had spade connectors...I believe original tachs used ring terminals. A pic of the tach face would be helpful. I just hooked it up with a power, ground annd coil connection and it seems to work fine. I think it might be a re-engineered tach built within the original housing. Anyway, I'm happy.
