First long run

We have just about sorted our '71 out now and are going on our first long run this week end. 700 Klm round trip. Fingers crossed. Wish us well.

Well our first long run was quite successful. My wife loves the Avanti and doesn't like to let me drive much. We done 563 miles (906 klm) without a problem Tried it out on a quiet back road up to 100 mph and it handled like a dream. Averaged 17.6 MPG (UK gal) Not as good mpg as my '53 Champion but I am sure this car will be used a lot more.
