The Jensen proposal looks more Jaguar than anything...almost a clone. The Avanti proposal looks good in overall look but I don't like the tail light treatment. Something more like the original rear fascia and light design could be worked in to give it the distinct Avanti look. The sharp creases in that Avanti are getting away from Loewy's "no straight lines" edict for the design. It's more contemporary in design but less Avanti...but still a nice looking car. Actually...both designs are nice.

I've seen a couple of Interceptors over the past cpuple of years and suince buying my Avanti.

In many ways they're what the Avanti could/should have been...a high performance GT.

But it was always a high-priced car, well above the Avanti's price point. Today, driver quality cars go for about the same as an Avanti.

But after looking at one, I sure would not want to restore one...it makes an Avanti look simple (and cheap) to restore.

The Avanti is very nice. To paraphrase "Field of Dreams" "If you make it, they (buyers) will come.
