I have to fix the leak in the transmission, what is the correct transmission fluid? dextron, mercron, or type F? any comments or opinions will be appreachiated. Gunslinger Posted December 16, 2009 Report Share Posted December 16, 2009 I'm assuming you have the original Borg-Warner Power Shift automatic. Type F is probably the best choice...it will give you firmer shifts. Dexron will give smoother shifts, but I believe most will recommend Type F.
