Before Andy Granatelli drove the SEARS-ALLSTATE cross country Studebaker Avanti to a top speed of approx 146 MPH at Bonneville, the Avanti's tire pressure was 'upped' by .......?..... lbs.

Seven psi (not "lbs").

My point is that pressure is in pounds per square inch (psi), not pounds (lbs.), a measure of weight.
