  1. Hello Brad, I just checked my compressor and it is made by EVERCO INDUSTRIES... never heard of that brand. Anyway, thanks for the info, my buddy is an A/C tech and he said it probably takes about 3 to 4 lbs. of freon, so now I have a good idea about the capacity. Thanks again, AL
  2. Hi All, anyone know how many pounds of R 12 freon our Avanti's hold ? Mine is a 1978 Avanti II, do not know if the year matters or not. Thanks in advance for any help, AL
  3. Hello Studquest, thanks for the info, I also went thru the same issues you had with Kelsey Hayes wires on a 57 T-Bird years ago. I will only buy wire wheels that do not require inner tubes. Dayton still accepts orders for wire wheels, but tells me it would be several months to fill the order. I am going to a local wheel and tire shop next month that can order them for me with a reasonable delivery time. AL
  4. Hello Mr. Vines, thanks for the quick response, the wheels look a bit rough, I would prefer newer wheels that I can just install without having to refurbish them. Thank again, tho, AL
  5. Mr. Vines, can I assume that the 5 Borrani wire wheels you have fit all early Avanti's ? I have been looking for a set for my 1978 Avanti II, R Q B 2802 . Mine came with the stock 500 mag set of 5. So do I understand that you have a set of Dayton wire wheels on your '63 and still have the set of 5 Borrani wire wheels ? Since they are older wires, are they bolt on or the knock off type ? What shape are they in and are they for sale ? AL acagent99
  6. I have tried the Truespoke site also, no luck there either. I am seeking a new set of wires for the Avanti II as it will really look great and set the car off. I did not think of Dan Booth as a source, thank you for the tip, I will call him this week, Thanks again Wayne, AL POLO
  7. Thanks for the reply, I have been to both sites you mentioned, and did not have any luck. I was told by a rep. from Dayton that they no longer make bolt on wire wheels, and it would take months to get a special order from them! Coker does not have a wire wheel in the size I need. I am surprised not more Avanti owners have not had the same issue finding wire wheels, also can you tell me if my measurements are correct ? Thanks again, AL POLO
  8. Hello All, any one have a source for wire wheels, seems to be a bit of a problem to locate a set for my 1978 Avanti II. My specs. are the following...15" x 7" wheel, 5 x 4 1/2" bolt pattern, 1/2" off set, or 12.7mm, and back space of 4". If these are not correct can someone let me know what numbers are correct. I really want "bolt on" wires if possible, but have not had any luck finding a manufacturer or supplier. If there are no "bolt on" wires to be had, I will go with wheels that come with adapters and hubs, if I have to. Any info on this is appreciated AL POLO
  9. Hi Jim78, Thank you for the quick response. I just purchased the 1978 Avanti II, that I needed the wiring diagram for. I found out what I needed to know in the diagrams, great help. So, I am a novice in the Avanti II world and the Forum world as well. So I will need a lot of help in dealing with my new purchase. Another issue I need an answer to is about the interior lighting. Does the Avanti II use the same red bulbs as the '63 and '64's ?, and when using the "Bright/ Dim" switch, does that control all the interior lights or just the gauges? I have found the dash lights to be dim and not ver
