Cbitz233
Changing exhaust manifold gaskets and deleting smog pump in my 83 305 Avanti ii. Took a.c. out cause It wasn't working very well and that's the only way I found to reach the manifold. Has anyone done a a.c. delete pulley? If so, which one did you use. I found 2, one being 2 bolts brackets other is 3 bolts. Thx.
Jim78
Don't be hasty to delete the A/C. When you drive on the next hot summer day, it may seem like a good idea to repair the A/C instead of removing it. Also, the lack of A/C would lower the value if you were to sell the car. kboyd
Second the advice offered by Jim78. Avanti's tend to pass a lot of heat from the engine compartment into the passenger compartment and if you live in a warmer climate, having A/C is virtually a necessity if you are going to enjoy the car during the warmer months.
