Red/Black Carpet

Avanti R4275 is listed as when they switched from red/black carpet to black. My Avanti R4308 has factory red/black carpet. I have most of this Avanti's service invoices from the dealer. I believe my Avanti came out of the factory with red/black carpet. I suppose they had some red/black carpet left over which they used in my Avanti.

Entirely possible!...R5642, the second to last production 1964 Studebaker Avanti built, was ordered with a solid '63 'Avanti Red' vinyl interior, supposedly unavailable on the '64's.

(Actually, SOLID 'Avanti Red ' vinyl interiors weren't offered on the 63's either!!)
