Compressed Avanti!

A factory A/C compressor installed on a 1983 Avanti will interchange with the same item from a 1985 Avanti........True?

I’ll say no because the 85 was required to use 134a and the 83 used R12.

No is CORRECT!......Also, the '83 used the old 'torpedo' style GM compressor,...... by '85 they went to the lighter and more compact GM 'radial' type.
