DTM1 Posted April 24, 2018 Report Posted April 24, 2018 I'm just wondering how you get you're hand up to remove the speedo cable?? Mine definitely need lube as it is all over the place. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You Dan
Gunslinger Posted April 24, 2018 Report Posted April 24, 2018 It depends what year but for the most part all you need to do is reach up and unthread the collar around the speedometer receptacle and back it out. Lube the cable and thread the collar back on. It does help to have small hands but I've been able to do it with my big mitts. I'm not as familiar with the later cars of this generation...do they have a similar setup or a sender rather than a cable to the speedometer head?
DTM1 Posted April 25, 2018 Author Report Posted April 25, 2018 Gunslinger, Mine is a '66 and I will try again but it seemed impossible to get my hands up there.
