Norman Hansen
I tried to remove the right side panel on my 69 Avanti and after removing all the screws I could find it was still secure. The Avanti workshop manual I have is no help. Does the seat have to come out or are there two separate panels? I've been through the forum and did not find anything on this topic using the search " console side panel removal". May have missed it. Avanti83
I don't know if this will help but this is what the bare console looks like in a 74 Avanti.
Bocarman
On my 71, you have to take the A/C front panel off, then take out all the screws along the edges of each panel. But, then you have to look inside the A/C panel recess. There is a nut that holds the chrome trim to the panel just above where the trim makes it's right angle. They left a hole so you can get a socket on the little nut. I had to enlarge the hole a bit.It is a small size. Good luck. Al
