We need your 2001-2007 Avanti Information

Don Lindner and I are working with John Hull to develop a production list of all cars from 2001-2007.  If you haven't supplied Don with your Avant's information, then please provide it to me with the following info:   Vin Year,  Vin #,  Body Style: Conv/Coupe/T-Top, Color and your name.  If you have a Mustang chassis, then the last 4 numbers of your Avanti Vin would be helpful also.  If you want to keep the info confidential, then please email me at: ron.manfredi@att.net.

John Hull had contacted me about my '02' stating there were 33 made that year.

I read His book and the last pages give loose numbers but weren't specific on our models. so I tried contacting Him and that's when He told me of my years production numbers.

If You want / need a serial number, let me know.

When will You be sharing Your info?

Side note..

If I owned a Mustang or Camaro, all numbers are available and all options are accessible thry the Vin #.., On our cars, there is little to go on on even the Production Numbers, let alone the options installed on the cars, I don't know how to run the numbers on the VIN to tell me anything. As noted, John gave me my years Production Numbers (33) . With only that many made, I would suspect SOMEONE should have the other info, but Who??   I understand the ''big shake up'' that happened when the Company went defunct, so it makes some sense on why info is sparse, but still there needs to be SOMEONE ALIVE who has retained more info than we are given.

I really hope You have success in this. The values and rarities of these cars sorta hangs on the figures.

I'm setting a perceived value on mine at somewhere around $60ish K.. It's based on the few sales records I've found.

John's production numbers are correct.  The Firebird/Mustang Vins tell you of the OEM chassis build/options, but the Avanti add-ons are missing.  The only perfect way to know is to have the Production Sheet which all original owners had (some passed them on to the next owners).  The second way is the window sticker. I'm finding that there are Avanti Body #s on most Mustang based cars that tell us the production run # of that car.  2004-2005s used one  AVxxxx 4 digit number location on the door tag.  2006-2007 used a 17 digit Avanti Body Vin and the last 2 digits are the production run of those models (mine is #11 which means that there should be a minumum of 11 cars made that year IF the first one was actually #1)  John is working on trying to get together more documentation to help with this project and I still have dozens of owners to attempt to contact to get their car info as well.
