ron@crall.com
Anyone know what differences were between the standard and competition blowers? Only one I actual know of is that it cost me a bunch more to get the latter rebuilt.
mfg
One difference is that the impeller is shimmed back closer to the plate for extra boost. Also, there's a hi-output impeller available....Not sure if it was available in '63 though...Ed
ron@crall.com
I was told it was a different impeller, however; it is the only one I have ever looked at so no idea how it differed.
mfg
When looking at the supercharger inlet, the area of impeller blades which are visible is called the inducer. Standard Paxton impellers have straight cut inducer blades. The high-output impellers have inducer blades machined in a 'cupped' and more angled fashion...Ed
