I finished rebuilding the ram on my power steering today. When I started the car to check for proper operation, I experienced a condition where the steering wheel moved left to right at about 1/2 second intervals. I know that I have to bleed the system to remove air, but I did not expect this kind of a condition. Is this something other than air in the system? Did I get the hoses on the ram reversed. I plan to restart the car tomorrow morning and see if I can get rid of this issue using the full left to full right process again.

You may have the right and left turn hoses switched at the ports on the ram.

Good call Lee! Reversed the hoses and the problem went away.

I've seen this happen to me and others....  easy to get the hoses switched.
