63 Avanti temperature control switch

Man, I think I've done a good job of looking but I can't find the a/c temperature control switch (the one that controls the compressor) on my 63 Avanti. Is this unobtainable or am I just

looking for switches in all the wrong places. Help appreciated, thanks.

They are difficult to find. My suggestions would be to try Myer's Studebaker or Nostalgic Motors...if you already haven't. You might come up with a good used one...NOS would be unlikely but those guys are always buying parts from people retiring, parts stocks unknown before, parts cars, etc., so you never know what might be available at any one time.

You might take your old switch to a full-line electrical supplier and see if you can come up with a modern replacement that fits and works the same. Again...you never know. If you can come up with something that way let everyone here know the source and part number. It will help others down the road.
